I believe this proposal will be beneficial to many different people involved in the outdoors in a good way. The modernization of the system to make things easier for people having troubles with current ways/system aswell would be good and could help to have less difficulties.

You guys need to bring back the sticker style tags paper and digital is a joke. Gives people the opportunity to photocopy their tags. Shoot as many deer turkey as they want. I think it’s absolute joke. What you guys have done bring back the old school system sticker tags be done with it.

Modernization ? How about making people learn some basic information like...there are rules, instead of just handing out licenses like candy to children. Modernization sounds like it's making things even easier than they are. The opposite of whats really needed.

Why not just include the list of licenses available to be applied for on our drivers license and health card renewal site as a one stop shopping site for all of required licenses ?

Please consider going back to a licencing system that does not have paper tags. Water proof plastic type tags would be best so that they stay legible and are less susceptible likely to be reprinted or have fraudulent tags created.

As an outfitter, I believe that we must work together with the MNR in providing honest, up to date information. It is rather unfortunate that many outfitters are not providing accurate information, following rules, nor trying to Manage Big Game, especially Black Bear.

Go back to the original system and mail the waterproof tags out to hunters. It is Safer and less fraud. I’ve seen several persons of certain groups of communities just copying tags and taking several deer and moose. Disgusting abuse of the system. And a cheap oversight to save a few dollars.
I feel that the proposed changes would be to the benefit of both the user and MNR, helping to minimize administrative duties and giving the ability to apply those budgets and staffing to more important areas of the program.
43A and 43B require legislative written (not digital) landowner MNR Forms which isn't even listed properly in the Reg summary or provided through the license center.

This is an interesting concept. However you must take it to account the lack of cell coverage in a majority of hunting areas. This would prohibit hunters from timely registration of their tags after harvesting an animal. For example, a hunter shoots a moose. No cell coverage.

Digital OR paper? Should be able to choose both as long as both match? Imagine being hours from the nearest community and you’re unable to keep your phone charged? Or you want to continue hunting and don’t have anything to write on to leave with your harvest.

Go back to how it used to be, card had 5 slots for yearly stickers and card good for 5 yrs. Having to carry a card and paper printout is a nuisance. Not everyone wants to take a mobile fishing as your alternative. Card in a wallet, that simple!
I support the digital tag system. After using these types of Etagging systems while hunting in the USA, I am all for it. It’s time stamped, you can’t reprint or copy any paper tag.

As a frequent hunter, I would greatly appreciate this proposed mobile app. I don't own a printer in this digital age and getting access to one is an inconvenience for tags.
