Separate from the real concerns about the Conservative imperialism regarding the environment and Indigenous peoples is the serious issue of how critical minerals will be used that are mined in the Ring of Fire.
If minerals are to be used for the international weapons/military industry, and, for the poorly regulated digital and artificial intelligence industries, I urge the Conservatives to not proceed with marketing Ontario minerals to these entities. Why feed a market that threatens and harms Canadians?

If the Conservatives can clearly demonstrate that these minerals will not be marketed internationally to these undesirable industries, and, if Ontario can demonstrate it has full and informed Indigenous consent, and, if environmental issues can be publicly and transparently resolved, then there are possibilities for this mining.

Given the Conservative abject failure on these varies grounds, and, given the bulldozer politics forcing developments without democratic licence, i fear we are in for more corporate fascism a la Doug Ford.
Corporations cannot be treated like privileged citizens while ignoring actual citizens.
