I am strongly opposed to the passing of Bill 5. I do not believe the premier is acting in the best interests of myself, and our province, but instead is working to the benefit of himself and of corporations who will destroy Ontario's ecosystems, including the incredibly important peat that is found there. I am concerned that the premier's bill goes against the environmental bill of rights, and infringes on the constitutionally enshrined rights of the first nations of this land, whom the premier has already evinced contempt for. I do not believe this bill would be for the benefit of my future as a young Canadian, I believe it is short sighted in the extreme, and dangerous at its worst.
