Bill-5 is a very dangerous bill that should not be moved forward in any way.
It is dangerous to the residents and natural land of Ontario while giving major priority to private sectors. This is a form of corruption in the most blatant way possible. This bill removes oublic oversight, which is key towards building a better and equitable Ontario and protecting the rights of residents, wildlife, and endangered species.
I do agree that there needs to be more affordable non-market housing built (highlighting affordable and non-market), but it can not be at the cost of municipalities, residents (including Indigenous people), and wildlife.
To the Premiere, you have told us time and time again that Ontario is not for sale. Please be a man of your word and stop selling Ontario to for-profit sectors who have no interest in prioritizing the well-being of people. It should NEVER be profit over people.
Thank you for taking the time to read my comment.
