The definition of a habitat should remain the same. By limiting it you are only looking at what the species directly use and not what they may need in the near or far future. I think it is better to stay on the safer side. Also I do not think the government should have the power to remove a species from the endangered list. If the scientists have deemed a specie to be a risk, it should be protected. I think you should think of the long term goals of the province. We need to protect our biodiversity or else we will suffer too. And requiring a permit allows for the project to be reviewed and for scientists to propose changes. With the registration, irreversible damage could be done. Please prioritize the biodiversity in Ontario.
