This proposal is unsatisfactory in the protection of endangered and threatened species in ontario. The proposal is vague in what is the definitions and specifics, especially the definition of habitat as it cannot be adequately applied to all wildlife groups. The proposed definition of habitat for plants is tree centric and not useful for other vegetation types. The registration process requires more details, which species need permit process, if there is only registration process where is the oversight?
For the conservation fund, how much money have been collected to date and where is that money going?
The costs to wildlife and habitat diversity would be irreversible, should this go through, for temporary and benefits only a select group of people.
