Well, this mining project will happen if the government wants it to happen and it looks like we are left to hoping and praying that there are some good politicians still left out there. I think what our allies would find impressiveo n top of preventing foreign take over of our resources is if we involved citizens-particularly people who have lived on, cared for, and protected the land- in the process of educating, researching, and reporting about conditions, land characteristics and weather patterns over the decades of them living there. Like farmers and Indigenous people. Obviously there are concerned and some people think the govt is being sneaky but in years to come we will all likely be grateful if we work together. Start up some research institutes that are govt and Indigenous run. Dont be so afraid that everyone wants a lawsuit.. Some , in fact, id argue, most stewards of the land actually want the best use of resources and human rights practices. Which is, I like to believe, what the Provincial government and the Federal government are all about too.. work with Canadians not just eachother...though its nice to see the intergovernment processes are this quick. I am serious. There doenst have to be an enemy. Compassion and common sense is an all too underappreciated Canadian combo:)
