I am writing as a constituent of Don Valley North and a concerned Ontarian regarding the alarming changes to the Endangered Species Act and the New Species Conservation Act. Here are my concerns:

Weakening of Endangered Species Protection: The bill proposes to repeal the existing Endangered Species Act and replace it with a new "Species Conservation Act." This new act significantly weakens protections for vulnerable species, potentially leading to increased extinction risks. It would change the focus of species protection, and allow for more political discretion in which species are protected.

I do not support changes to the Endangered Species Act and the New Species Conservation Act. I urge you to withdraw these.
