I strictly oppose changes to the endangered species act.
Us as a society need to do all that we reasonably can to protect endangered species and species at risk so that future generations can enjoy them instead of just reading about them. The carrier pigeon and the Great Auk of Iceland come to mind. We don't even have photographs of these amazing birds of the past. Humans were the ones who lead to their extinction and we to do better by the animals we share this planet with.
In my mind these "Special economic Zones" seem like a slippery slope to just letting the government pave over anything they want. I believe in working together at all levels of government to get things done not just giving all the power to the politicians at the top and have them decide everything, especially when it comes to the environment.
