I believe this proposal, if granted, will seriously impact the environment along the Saugeen River and other tributaries. It will negatively impact the fish and wildlife in the area and do irreparable harm to our ecosystem. I have been out fishing the Saugeen many times over the years and now with my two boys we have made many memories as I am sure many other families have as well. It will be a shame that the aggregate business will take this all away and if this proposal is approved, 7,900,000 liters per day being removed will drastically lower the water levels, cause a slowed water current that will warm the temperatures and kill off the fish. There will be no more fishing. It will impact tourism in the area. Lowered water levels will impact any sort of recreational activities for the camp grounds, impact the farmers, cause a die-off of vegetation along the banks and push animals away which will impact the ecosystem. Do not support this proposal.
