Where is the environmental impact assessment that demonstrates the. Impact on wildlife, and the aquatic ecosystem and how this will affect it.
Are there any endangered plants or animals that relay on the river?
How will it affect fish population?
How will it affect the water tables?
How will this affect Lake Huron where the saugeen flows into?
Have indigenous groups been consulted?

How will this impact humans who live in the area?
Is there a guarantee that there will Not be any negative impact for humans, plant and animal life?
The saugeen river has been a place used for recreation and is also home to many animal, plants and fish species. It is not meant to be pillaged by industry for financial gain.
This request has been quietly put forth without consultation and should not be allowed to move forward. A quick financial gain is not the answer to long term devastation of a treasure.
I am opposed to this initiative and it is horrible to think that such a request would even be considered.
