I would like to register my strong objection to this proposal for the following reasons:
-Water needs to be reserved for people, farms, wildlife and habitat NOT gravel.
-The Walker Pit application will have an enormous affect on this valuable resource and the water table. 5,500 liters of water withdrawal per MINUTE for 24 hours per day is outrageous.
-This represents almost 8 million liters per day for 365 days per year for 10 years! On any dimension, this is unbelievable and will literally drain the Saugeen and Styx rivers.
-As a Category 3 permit, this proposal is anticipated to have the HIGHEST potential of causing unacceptable environmental impactor interference.

We MUST protect the Saugeen AND Styx rivers.

These reasons alone should justify a rejection of this proposal. Where does the drive for quarries to exploit our water sources end? Enough!
