Commenting on the Walker Put…

Commenting on the Walker Put application for a permit to take water in a Category 3 with serious potential to harm the environment. I vehemently oppose this permit as it has potential to damage local ecology just to wash gravel?! This site is located near the Saugeen and Styx rivers and is part of a proposed gravel taking complex which will impact the environment.

Water is life and we should act like it. The province of Ontario is attacking nature for the benefit of corporations a d developers over the good management of resources and consideration of the clean water and environmental needs of human, flora and fauna.

We need to stop being so extractive and understand the complex interactions of nature and our place within it.
