As a resident within 1km of this pit I am highly concerned. I don't see where they plan to put the pond, on existing site or is this part of their expansion which this has not been included on that application. What environmental and water table studies have been done to ensure my drinking water is safe, uncontaminated and doesn't dry up? Have they submitted plans and studies done on how they plan to open the water table to feed their pond? How much volume of water annually is being taken from? There are to many questions unanswered that directly effect the health of our family, water and environment. Other concerns include compounding noise of other pit activity and increase truck road traffic and road wear. Also, addition trucks increase dust and air particle limits (especially cumulative) need to be taken into account . 3 other pit applications for that 5km area are proposed. Cumulative impact on the environment needs to be considered.
