The Province has done a failing job of maintaining these beach lands over the past 50 years. The fundamental terms of the agreement when the province expropriated the lands from the Town have been broken. The lands have been neglected with overgrowth, and areas once welcoming as picnic areas are no longer habitable. There has been no prosperity or development and the beaches have fallen into disarray. Town is the first line of complaints from visitors and locals who use the beaches. Return the lands to the Town who care about focusing on handling the needs of the community best. Tourism must return to our beach Town. Give the Town the opportunity to manage the lands to bring tourism back to the benefit everyone. It’s the right thing to do!
