I am wholeheartedly against listing the double-crested cormorant as a game bird in Ontario. Humans interfering with wildlife by trying to manage numbers never works out well for the wild life itself - neither for the animal or bird being killed or for the ones left behind. I do not agree this is the the correct or beneficial action to take. Killing animals or birds for the convenience of humans, which I believe this legislation is doing, is not an ecologically sound action. Cormorants are a natural part of the ecosystem and killing large numbers of them will damage the ecosystem. Thank-you.
