I strongly oppose Bill 60 - Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act.

I have many friends living in Markham, Scarborough, Oakville, and Mississauga. We all agree that having a safe network of bicycle lanes and a robust transit system would let us get to work, school, or go shopping much more easily without relying on a car and contributing to more congestion.

Decades of academic research, our judicial system, and the Ontario governments own reports have shown that bicycle lanes are not the cause of congestion and giving more space to motor vehicles wont fix congestion either.

This proposed bill is not in the interest of anyone in Ontario, and will only lead to unnecessary deaths and lifeless streets. It perhaps only benefits the destructive tycoons of the auto and oil industry.
