This plan is of no benefit to the residents of The Town of Fort Erie. Why does this plan include property where Wildlife and Trees were cleared in anticipation for housing yet other land that once was in the Urban Boundary for development that is ready to go excluded from this current plan? Currently, I see land development in Ridgeway and the post signs are for $700,000 plus for a new Townhouse. I thought this Town wants friendly land development for the people. Charging $700,000 in Ridgeway is atrocious. How are single people, small families, single parents or couples going to accept these high city prices in a Town that has no Hospital and poor planning for these recent subdivisions that have been built in the last 5-10 years. $700,000 plus are big city prices NOT for The Town of Fort Erie. I would like to see a variety of options including Tiny homes, Modular Homes, Sixplexes, Printed Homes to go along with these $700,000 plus dwellings. This would help with the housing situation to give more people in Canada an option to buy or rent. People take pride in their community when all aspects are represented. Currently it seems the Developers in Fort Erie are building what they want not what is needed. So the environment concerns are cast aside because Developers don't take it seriously. Fort Erie is lucky to have rural expansion options because these areas can maintain The Town of Fort Erie's charm while respecting the environment. The previous Plan from April 2022 was much better than this Plan which seems to be hastily put together so The Town can cash in on the money being handed out by the Provincial and Federal Governments (MHIP)(BFF)(CCBF)(HAF)
