For Bill 66 to be justified, it would be appropriate and important that the government indicate issues that the Bill is designed to address. Most of the planning policies that have been put in place by the Province over the past 50 years have served us well. I am especially concerned that Bill 66 enables municipalities to remove the protection of the Planning Act and Provincial Policy Statements for significant built heritage resources and significant cultural landscapes in the province.
