The purposed cycling routes north of gravenhurst are mostly suicidal. Have you ever driven on HWY 17 between North Bay to Pembroke? Super busy highway, no shoulder and services over 100km apart. Trying to get more people on the roads in towns like sudbury and north bay is going to result in many more driver/cyclist conflicts. Read the comments on CBC Sudbury when cycling even gets brought up. Its scary, no roads, lots of trucks. Consider looking at dirt road options up there.

Muskoka is a jewel waiting to be uncovered. There are thousands of kilometers of quiet back roads, some paved some gravel and potential for the best mountain biking in eastern Canada, only 2 hours from Toronto. There are many very experienced trail builders living in Muskoka, they just need a place to build.
