Trails of any kind are an important component of our infrastructure here in the Town of Erin. The Town of Erin currently has a Trails Committees, that focuses on upgrading all walking/hiking trails and the other is a new committee focusing on an Erin Riverwalk Trail capital project with its main focus being tourist attraction.

It is incredibly important that we nurture and maintain the trailways that already exist as well as develop new trailways and connections that will encourage people to get out and get active. There are many opportunities for collaboration between towns and regions for tourist attraction and overnight stays. Our rural towns are struggling to compete with the facilities and activities of the larger centres. You cannot find the abundance of trailways in cities that we have in rural ontario lets use this to our advantage.

Our society today is very technical focused and obesity is on the rise. The government must be the leader of change for the health of our people.

The Town of Erin is doing there part to maintain the trails we have, build new trails for the betterment of the community and preserve the flora and fauna for generations to come.

Thank you kindly, Robyn
