Good day. I am legitimately no one special, just a 4th year undergraduate student at York U. However, I value the environment (at least to an extent). I won't and can't provide any links (I am legitimately unsure where to look for this stuff) however the ability to track carbon emissions, especially of large factories, is an important statistic to keep track of. Granted, I can see this being abused in order to overly tax those businesses or to impose heavy governmental regulation on the businesses, which I am personally against. However, the benefits of the information gathering outweigh the potential risks. Ultimately, Canadians will pick the best choice for Canada, and they need to be informed when doing so (though I personally hope that a positive reinforcement mechanism like tax breaks for solar power for example will be used rather than taxation powers).
