I am concerned that the Ontario and Durham Region governments are trying to downplay the seriousness of a possible nuclear accident at Pickering or Darlington.
It is always better to prepare for the worst possible scenario, for you will then be prepared for any eventuality.
For too long, we have been told that Candu technology cannot have any accident. This is not true.
Why are our children and grandchildren being put at risk for the sake of a few jobs and higher real estate values? Does this mean that every child in Durham is regarded as expendable by government? Will they become the Ontario version of "collateral damage"?
