The real purpose of nuclear fission has always been to manufacture plutonium for the military to use in weapons of mass destruction. In spite of numerous precautions and measure to make these facilities safe nuclear fission is incompatible with (human) life. Therefore no nuclear power plant should be allowed on earth. The Fukishima disaster is polluting the entire Pacific Ocean. There is no safe way to store and/or dispose of nuclear waste and closing or demolishing a plant once it has outlived its usefulness, adding to the enormous cost of this lousy way of generating plutonium and some electricity, the latter being only a by-product.
