Proposal for Natural Gas Distributors - remove mandatory reporting and verification for the emissions from fuel they sell.
Comments:
By removing mandatory reporting and verification for natural gas distributor for the emissions from natural gas sold to its customers, it would definitely reduce reporting and verification costs ultimately borne by end customer.
Further, we want to inform that facilities of The Corporation of the City of Kitchener – Kitchener Utilities (KU), do not have emissions above the threshold of 10,000 tonnes.
As a natural gas distributor, KU does not operate any storage facilities or gas compressors on its system. As a result, the KU is not subject to report GHG emissions under GHGRP i.e. federal program.
