I have no objections to the closure of the lake trout season on Labor day as this will stop the harvesting of pre-spawning fish. I would like to see a Feb 1 opening for a longer winter fishery. This would be an economic boost for outfitters, bait dealers, and every business involved in tourism without having any noticeable impact on the species as it's mostly juveniles that are harvested in the later winter months.
