The people of Ontario expect their government to have plans in place that will protect them in the event of nuclear disaster. The vulnerable such as children and the elderly need special plans to get them to safety which are not in current plans. How are they included incurrent plans and in current practice exercises? Are seniors homes evacuated? Ontario needs to practice regularly to be prepared for such a disaster. Ontario should emulate the best response plans in the world not the least prepared which takes into account all the of our population not just protection for the corporation in the event of such a disaster. The true cost of reparations should be included prior to disaster occurring as part of doing business in Ontario. The industry around the world has proven it does not protect or replace adequately what has been lost by those living with the fallout of such a disaster. This does not protect people it protects the corporations. Our government needs to protect the people whom it is elected to do so. Currently our plans would not protect the numbers of people living near our nuclear plants. If such plans cannot be adequately made and carried out then should nuclear energy play such a prominent role in Ontario? Please look after the people of Ontario.
