Ontario deserves the best nuclear safety plan in the world, and one that reflects the full range of risks reflected from experience around the world.
We have numerous nuclear energy facilities in southern Ontario where most of Ontarians live. These are located on bodies of water from which we, and Americans in nearby states, obtain our drinking water. It is impossible to contemplate how a serious nuclear accident from these very old facilities could adequately be addressed.
It is therefore essential that we have the best safety plan.
