Our nuclear reactors sit on the edge of our Great Lakes which provide drinking water to millions of people. They are also located near millions of people. It is imperative that we have comprehensive emergency plans. One can never foresee disasters. As supposedly safe these reactors claim to be, a serious disaster is possible. We can't wait any longer.
It is also imperative to start decommissioning these reactors and not to refurbish them. That is a horrendous waste of money which can be much better spent in cleaner and safer energy sources.
The bottom line is, we really need to be reducing our energy consumption!!
