As a believer in the value and programming of Ontario's Conservation Authorities, I think we need them more now than ever. Given the flooding in 3 provinces that destroyed homes and communities in April, we need solid programming by the Conservation Authorities to ensure knowledge of flooding, water flow and how to protect the watersheds and communities within them. I think it is important for all communities' well being (economics and health) that Conservation Authorities have the delegative powers to work to protect the watershed, the environment and the people living within them.
