In ref to the subject Environmental consultation I can't help to notice that Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air) is mostly discuss. First and foremost "air" quality is an extremely important part of quality of life we can all enjoy as human to include wild life. With global warming as a top priority for the whole world and in particular CANADA I cannot understand why we would let an industry be able to play with the emission of air pollution we will be subjected to. Secondly there is no mention of noise pollution! Once again a major quality of life issue. So with both of these issues in mind comes the livelihood of all local population. The pollution of Ottawa River, the pollution of the farmland and the cattles who graze in those fields. I surely can understand that cities like Montreal, Toronto and other big city would require such a plan but L'Orignal and its surroundings surely don't need it. The concrete processed here will go to other big cities. Our livelihood would be affected not theirs, our highway will be destroyed by the over usage cause by the construction and running of such a plan. What would be the local repercussions for the economy(employment, etc)? It is my understanding that this will mostly be an automated plan and will required trained engineers to operate it! I understand that big corporations would rather build in small towns and villages, pay less taxes and having less people to deal with when it come to complaints and objections. They also make bigger profits which is only good to the share holders who I'm certain do not live in this area! The population in L'Orignal and its surrounding areas are aging and mostly consist of retired people who work hard to enjoy a good quality of life after they retired. What we have in the surrounding area is more than sufficient to satisfy the construction needs in our area.
