Living in a recharge area of Lake Erie, I am concerned about lake levels and the continuous flow of agricultural based chemicals feeding into the Lake via Municipal drains. We have three drains flowing through our little Village, that over flow frequently and are now not flowing due to high Lake levels. We need to filter out these chemicals and find a way to control the flows in municipal drains. Farming is important to all of us, but keeping algae blooms to a minimum and chemicals out of lake water is critical.
One way to eliminate people buying bottled water in single use containers, would be to have Reverse Osmosis treatment systems promoted for household use. Perhaps a grant to cover the cost of installing this system, would encourage their use. We have used them in the past and they are simple to install and use.
