This is an exemption fueled by financial interests of businesses. I have had to deal with the effects of a dam upstream from my property and how the river has run dry in past. MNR can't do anything, I am told the a water permit was the only thing that could control this flow. And if older dams do not have approvals, how will the issues with these dams be resolved?
