1. Reconsider overriding local planning and work collaboratively with municipalities to ensure property owners and tax paying citizens expectations are considered.
2. Require all proposed aggregate applications with all categories of potential waterway impacts (i.e.: groundwater, feeder streams, wetlands, fissures etc.) to participate in the more robust application process requirement for quarries below the waterline, set out in the Provincial announcement – in concert with the Government’s protection of water resources policies.
3. Consider a 2,000-metre setback requirement from all waterfront designations in alignment with many Official Town Plans.
