We must stop the proposal in schedule 9 of Bill 132 to cap total fines for industries dumping illegal sewage into our water, polluting our air, and using illegal pesticides. It is much cheaper than daily fines and will cause more damage to our environment than good!
In your own guidelines for implementing environmental penalties you state that the ministries compliance and enforcement program is to see that those responsible act quick to mitigate environmental impacts of the violation, so how is a one time fee with no urgency going to support this?
Please think about our children and reconsider!
