I think that this is a great idea to develop the north and help small towns out by increasing the tax base.
I do not think that it will harm the lake one bit. When I was young the lake was commercial fished with fish camps every ten miles. Bowman fisheries would come up the lake twice a week delivering gas and groceries and returned to Hudson with thousands of tons of fish over the summers. I believe that the sport fishing was better then than it is now because they removed the coarse fish as well so that there was less competition for the bait fish. The fish were larger back in those days with Northern over four feet long coming up in the nets.
