Protecting natural areas and biodiversity from deforestation and urban sprawl helps to prevent infectious disease outbreaks (see WHO link).
Natural areas and biodiversity are beneficial for all people, and all living beings - increasing property value, increasing oxygen and clean air, increasing human health and resilience to illness. Resilience is the strength we need in an uncertain climate future.
By protecting the valuable natural areas and developing only in a low-impact way using best practices, a sustainable future that is mutually beneficial for the economy, our environment and our well being can be achieved for the long term.
Much gratitude.
