The Township of King has serious concerns with respect to the commenting deadline of July 31st. Not only regarding the amount of time, but more particularly with respect to the timing. Late June and July are periods when typically Council meetings are recessed for summer break.

This government must rethink any aspect of this plan that weakens protection for Endangered Species. Developed areas like the Golden Horseshoe are already wreaking havoc on endangered species, if anything they need more protection, not less.

If these changes are put in place they will remove many of the protections that are in place for many of the endangered species located in the golden horseshoe. Specifically, this would come to be as mining corporations mine for aggregate.
