I feel as though the section of this memo on the regulatory impact is extremely vague and un-detailed compared to the rest of this memo. It feels as though many concerns are being breezed over.
"The four common species that would be taken by falconers as part of their falconry licence are all abundant with secure populations." - Where is the data that supports this? How abundant are they? There are no figures or rough populations provided. How many falconers are in Ontario and able to each take a bird annually? Will there be any increased security/inspection measures being implemented to help ensure these wild-caught birds are not being sold?
