This land is on a Highly Vulnerable Aquifer and the industrial build that Miller plans could jeopardize this land and the water it serves to the community. Not only is this not in the best interest of the community based on safety, the constant filling and traffic that this “new” site would cause to the surrounding agriculture and community would be disturbing. As well, it is to my knowledge that Miller has not been compliant with their current site and has had issues over the past 10+ years. The act of carelessness throughout the years foreshadows what is to come if this site gets approved. The land is also a part of Oak Ridged Morraine. The developments around our community have already been damaging to this. We should be restoring our land not exploiting it. I believe that Miller’s request should NOT be approved for all of the above reasons. For some people it may not be recognizable now but surely 5 years down the road, there will be regret about approving this request. Thank you for considering my above points.
