I am writing this in objection to what is occurring at the Miller Boyington Pit #3. I have a family farm in the area; what is occurring at the Miller Boyington Pit #3 greatly concerns me. My biggest concern is how the environment is being impacted by these occurrences. The Oak Ridges Moraine Plan and Act was developed for a purpose, and no one should be allowed to violate it. If one individual or company can violate it then other individuals or companies will be allowed to do the same. I worry and am concerned about the future of my family farm if such actions are permitted to continue.

My family farm used to be on a quiet and peaceful road when I grew up there. Now there are constant gravel trucks racing down the road. This causes noise pollution, dust pollution, water pollution, and disturbs the wildlife that lives there. My family and I enjoy the wildlife that come to the farm; the destruction of an environment that use to promote wildlife destroys our enjoyment of the wildlife.

Although the Miller Boyington Pit #3 is not the closest pit to my family farm, permitting it to break laws will permit pits closer to my family farm to do the same. This will disrupt and destroy the environment currently enjoyed at my family farm. My family worked hard to preserve a farm for future generations and me to enjoy; the pits around us are already disrupting and destroying that. It cannot be allowed to permit pits to break the law and do whatever they want.

I would like to see the Miller Boyington Pit #3 rehabilitated as it was supposed to be. Allowing a site plan amendment would be detrimental to the environment and health of people who live in the area.
