If you want to get rid of an invasive species like pigs then put a bounty on them. During the Great Emu War, the Australians brought out the military to try to systematically wipe our the invasive emu's. It failed, and the government ended up putting a bounty on emu's. In 6 months, about 57,000 emu's had been killed. If you want to deal with a problem like this, give farmers something like $50 for a pair of ears or a tail.
