Climate change is a very real and pressing problem for not only Ontario, but for the world. Legislation that hampers our ability to not only mitigate the release of additional greenhouse gasses that are the leading cause of climate change through a financial framework but that also generates funds that support innovation in the climate change sector is dangerously short-sighted.

I would like to register my STRONG opposition to this piece of legislation. Cap and trade has been proven to work to lower greenhouse gas emissions AND to generate the funding we need to retrofit buildings, pay for research, and innovate in this sector.
