This legislation does not make sense in the absence of an alternative plan to mitigate global warming. All Ontarians have a duty of care for our children to ensure them a viable future. The Cap and Trade legislation was a universally recognized and valuable tool to incentivize transformative movement away from a carbon based economy towards a healthier environment for all Ontarians. It is therefore irresponsible and not in the interest of the people who this government profess to represent.
