Ontario has taken some positive steps towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and this work needs to continue more aggressively. This move is counterproductive and expensive as it creates financial uncertainty. Therefore, I do not support the withdrawal of the cap and trade program without a replacement that is both more effective from a greenhouse gas reduction perspective and efficient from a monetary perspective.

Ontario can do better.
