I think the ability to bow hunt during the controlled hunt is a great idea! Years ago archery hunters could hunt on the Sunday of the controlled week. Sunday gun hunting was allowed and therefore archery hunters lost those Sundays as a result. This is a great way to give back to those affected. I am curious as to why 92 is not included in this proposal if your goal is to align WMU. Why shouldn’t I be able to hunt with my bow if I’m successfully selected to hunt in one of the three controlled hunts in 92? I would also recommend that the number of gun hunters per week be examined and perhaps reduce the gun season to the first week in November and the first week in December. The first two weeks of October are too hot to hunt seriously for a mature buck and when it just starts getting good at the end of October and they start moving the gun week starts and you have to hang up your bow. Please don’t leave us in 92 out of this conversation. Get more archery hunters involved in the talks. Talking with the same local advisors year after year who have personal stakes in the hunt isn’t always the greatest for the WMU
