What the government has put forward in this bill is completely unacceptable, given that they have proposed no other mechanism for carbon pricing. If they acknowledge the reality of climate change, how can they justify proceeding with no plan for reducing carbon emissions? How can they justify attempting to reduce gasoline prices, which will increase emissions, while removing the subsidies that made electric vehicles affordable to Ontarians?
