As a Registered Professional…

As a Registered Professional Forester and a resident of northern Ontario for the past 40 years I wholly support the Section 11 Conservation Agreement. This is good for Ontario and good for Woodland Caribou.

I do suggest that these decisions that affect both conservation goals and local peoples; Indigenous Peoples and the local economy, be accompanied by meaningful social/economic analysis so the costs and benefits are fully understood. Further these social / economic impact should be tracked and monitored in relation to the conservation benefits tracking to ensure these long term decisions remain appropriate thru time.
