I feel that this is a great step in protecting a very beautiful and unique piece of land. It is peaceful and there are different species of plants that I cannot even grow just up the road.
I live very close to this bog. My opinion is that the Prescott Russell Township and the Nation municipality do not know how to protect areas such as this. They allow clear cutting and continuous installation of o pipe which is depleting any water retention. They have also allowed continuous land scrapping for Scott’s Fertilizer and soil company just a few kM from this bog. The Township and Municipality cannot be trusted with such a valuable piece of land
