We write to request that the Province use the unused portion of Growth Plan policy 2.2.8.3 k) (five (5) hectares) to approve a minor boundary adjustment for 309-311 Parkside Drive, Waterdown. Policy 2.2.8.3 k) allows for settlement area boundary expansion within the Protected Countryside of the Greenbelt up to a maximum of ten (10) hectares of which no more than 50% may be used for residential purposes. Only five (5) hectares have been allocated by the City of Hamilton to date. Please see the enclosed correspondence for reasons in support of this request.
